The job hunt is going very well. I’m going to xx. next week for a face-to-face next Wednesday with xxxx Air. Obviously, Sheffield was a big factor for xxxxxxx and xxxx Air, but I have an interesting story for you.
A friend of mine in D.C. was at a barbecue in his neighborhood, and it turns out one of his neighbors is a director of operations working with companies like ARINC and Air Routing. My friend said I had recently finished dispatching school and asked if he’d be willing to help in the job hunt. The guy asked where I went to school and, not knowing exactly, my friend told him it was a school in Ft. Lauderdale. The neighbor said it was probably Sheffield, and that if it was, to have me send him a copy of my resume and he’d talk to his contacts. So far he’s talked with people at four companies, without ever having met me, on the merit of th e Sheffield name alone! Best investment I ever made!

P.S. Apparently I was the first one to get the xxxx Air interviewer’s “stumper question.” The answer was …. They were pretty blown away when I rattled that one off! I know I wouldn’t have gotten it with out your thoroughness, however.
