Sidebar CD“I am a month into my new job at a airline coming out of reorganization, and am helping the training department by referencing the excellent and up to date course book provided to all Sheffield grads.” RW
RW“I am a graduate of the Sheffield’s Dispatcher Program. I have been a Captain-Part 121 Airline, Certified Flight/Grnd Instructor, and FAA Designated Check Airman and Sim Instructor (Part 121). From my experience I would rate Sheffield School as outstanding in their field.” PT
PT“After receiving my certificate, I joined a class of 4 experienced dispatchers for Part 121 initial training. Without experience, my preparation at Sheffield enabled me to become active at the same time after the initial training.” PR
PR“This school came highly recommended by multiple past students and EVEN OTHERS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS. Reputation is fantastic from multiple companies that I have worked for.”
A. – September 2020“Their reputation of excellence amongst the industry is second to none. Sheffield School of Aeronautics should be seen as the standard of how it can be done and how it should be done. I was hired at a major airline with no dispatch experience.” A.Z.

All schools are created equal?! yeah…sure ;)“This was an amazing class! Always interesting! It was like drinking from a fire hose, but I have never enjoyed a course more than this one. Thank you for a great 5 weeks & EWINS!” R.S.
R.S. Testimonial – 5-weeks & EWINS“I wanted to tell you I got the job offer from Expressjet, and start next month! I think a couple others from class were hired as well. It just shows the Sheffield reputation when I see graduates from other schools complaining that they can’t get an interview – I wasn’t even back home to Minneapolis […]

Hi Eric,
Just wanted to let you know how I am getting on here at EUjet. I will soon be moving away from the daily dispatcher duties of operations control and into their navigation services department, as they call it. Here is where all of the new routes are drawn up and test planned…we check things like the terrain, approaches, performance, typical wx for the locality, navaids along the routes and so on. I’ve been getting up to speed on that during the quiet times in dispatch. When it comes to test flying new routes I’ll be tagging along in the jump seat so that’s pretty neat too. Which brings me to Sheffield school. You guys really prepared me for all of this, I was surprised too by all of the information that I had actually retained. When I was talking to the Nav services manager about moving to his department he was impressed by the things that I knew. I could read approach plates, had absolutely no problems with regard to text/graphic weather, I was able to figure out some of the performance graphs just by looking at them. The AIFP gave a good idea of flight planning in other countries too and they were happy that I was familiar with ETOPS.
When I left Sheffield in July I was kind of fretting a little bit about getting a job, I didn’t know how long it would take and couldn’t believe it when it only took two weeks. Thanks again guys for all of your help.
Two weeks ago I was in touch with a buddy from Sweden, he wants to become a dispatcher and was thinking of going to xxxxxx because his wife is from XX and he would have someplace free to stay, but when I told him about all of you he changed his mind and decided Sheffield would be best for him.
I hope to stop by there sometime in the not too distant future. Please say hello to everybody for me.
Til next time,
Regards,
P.F.
