Why Look Into Making International Flight Plans?

International flight plans are an enticing choice for those looking to enroll in flight dispatcher school. An international flight planning course will open the door for them if they are interested in making more money in their career or expanding their horizons. International flights can also present a more complex challenge for flight dispatchers since they have to learn about different regulations and time zones as well. If you are interested in deepening your career, international flight planning is the best option for you.

What Are the Different Types of Flight Plans?

There are many different kinds of flight plans that prospective airline dispatchers need to be aware of. There are five types of flight plans:

  • Visual flight plans – VFR flight plans stand for visual flight rules and concern the regulation associated with flight in visual meteorological conditions.
  • Instrument flight plans – Instrument flight plans are used when the pilot intends to use certain instruments for the purposes of navigation. These are used when the conditions in an aircraft are deemed to be too unsafe to rely on visual clues alone.
  • Composite flight plans – Composite flight plans are used when both visual and instrument flight plans are used together.
  • Defense VFR flight plan – A defense VFR flight plan is used when flying over an ADIZ zone.
  • International flight plans – Used for flights overseas

What Plane Is Used for International Flights

International flights are usually much longer than domestic flights, which means that they will require larger aircrafts. Large aircraft are usually better adapted for long-haul flights, with the most popular ones being Boeing and three of their most popular models, which are:

  • Boeing 747
  • Boeing 777
  • Boeing 737

Another famous company that produces aircraft is Airbus. Some of the most commonly used Airbus models are the following:

  • Airbus A220
  • Airbus A320
  • Airbus A330
  • Airbus A350
  • Airbus A380
