Stimulated Economy has Airlines Seeking Employees at Trade Shows
The 32nd Northwest Aviation Conference & Trade Show in Puyallup, Washington has grown immensely in the past 15 years. Last year, the conference grew by over 12,000 flying fanatics, for its two day workshop.
The two day conference and trade show has over 350 aviation-related vendors and over 75 hours of instruction seminars.
While attendees are predominately males, the Washington chapter of the national Women in Aviation organization will be present. Lori MacNichol, owner of Mountain Canyon Flying aviation school, will be giving a popular seminar on mandatory skills for mountainous terrain flying.
Of the 350 vendors that will be attending the conference, there are 14 airline companies that will be actively looking to recruit potential employees.
Conference coordinator Rachel Hansen commented saying, “Every airline is desperate to hire right now”. Hansen says the influx of airlines seeking employees at aviation conferences and shows, is due to the stimulation of the economy and travel demand.
In addition to airlines seeking employees, the show is, overall, a wonderful presentation of everything aeronautic – including the latest in engines and technology. If you are in the Puyallup, Washington area, tickets to the Northwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show are $5 for adults and free for 17 and younger.
