VA Benefits Can Help Veterans Pursue Education and Training

The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) provides various services and benefits to members of the Service, Veterans, and their families in order to honor and recognize their service to the country. One of these services is the Education Service that can help veterans find schools that are VA approved institutions, as well as assist them in applying for benefits.

Financial Help for Education

The Education Service is under the Office of Economic Opportunity, and has the responsibility of administering the VA’s education programs. These programs offer education and training benefits to eligible Veterans, Military Service members and their dependents. When they are ready to further their education, they can apply for VA benefits for education and training in person, online, or by requesting an application with a phone call.

Find a School

There is a Government/Military database that helps in comparing the educational and training institutions that are approved by the VA. In fact, many other VA and government resources are available to help a student choose a school or educational program. Much information is available for the Veteran, Service member, dependent, Guard member or Reservist to make an informed decision about the school or training program that will suit their interests and meet their needs.

Veterans and Service members have served their country with honor and when it is time to further their education, there is help available through the VBA. There are many fine schools and training programs for them to choose from.
