There are a limited number of aeronautic specialty school that provide the full package. However, at Sheffield School of Aeronautics, we provide a well-rounded course package for those looking to become aircraft dispatchers.
Unlike any other aircraft dispatcher school, Sheffield School of Aeronautics provides in house EWINS training. What most aircraft dispatcher school provide is a EWINS orientation but it is not the true EWINS course which meets FAA guidelines. In order to receive a FAA approved EWINS certification you will need to take a three day EWINS training course that meets FAA criteria.
You may be wondering, what is EWINS. EWINS is also known as Enhanced Weather Information Systems. As defined by FAA “EWINS is a system for gathering, evaluating, and disseminating aviation weather information, and for issuing weather reports and forecasts prepared by properly trained” individuals such as aircraft dispatchers.
Sheffield’s EWINS course covers everything from theory, concepts, and the application of EWINS. After you complete the program with flying colors and a well-deserved certificate, you will be eligible for more opportunities than those who are not EWINS certified.
