Best Airlines to Work for in Aircraft Dispatching

If you want more than a job; if you are looking for a career with an airline or in the aviation industry, then of course you want to work for the best possible airline.

Sheffield School of Aeronautics‘ graduates have access to our exclusive job posting board, benefiting from Sheffield’s relationship with airlines like United Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines, with which Sheffield has long-standing relationships with.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest has a high employee satisfaction rating and the rating has remained consistent over the years. Glassdoor and Forbes have both included Southwest Airlines in their lists of the top U.S. companies to work for, not just in the airline and aviation industry, but in general. In fact, Southwest is one of the best airlines to work for because they have made the Forbes list for most admirable companies for 22 consecutive years. Landing a job as a flight dispatcher for this airline is definitely high on the list for a lot of aircraft dispatching graduates.

Sheffield has a long standing relationship with Southwest Airlines because we provide the best candidates and trained individuals.

Delta

Delta Airlines is one of the most recognizable airlines in the world, and also one of the largest. Flight dispatchers from Delta Airlines can make an upwards of $100,000 a year. The airline has distributed an estimated $2.9 billion in profit sharing and rewards programs in the past five years.

Working for larger airlines like Delta often come with the kind of job security you wouldn’t be guaranteed when you work for a smaller airline. Getting the opportunity to work for an airline as large as Delta can be frustrating for some at first, because there are a lot of experienced flight dispatchers trying to get the job. The important thing is to get your experience, ensure that you went to the best possible flight dispatcher school, and work hard.

JetBlue Airlines

JetBlue is another airline that is consistently found on lists of the best airlines to work for, and the best companies to work for in the United States. Most recently, JetBlue was named the 19th most desirable company to work for by Forbes.

One of the reasons why JetBlue is usually included on these lists is because of the schedule flexibility they allow for their employees. That, coupled with fantastic benefits and great pay, has made JetBlue a favorite airline to work for flight dispatchers.
