Why Choose Sheffield as Your Aircraft Dispatching School
Whether you are graduating from high school or have decided you want a change in your career, choosing which school is the right one for you is always a difficult decision. So, this will be a crash course on explaining why choosing Sheffield as your aircraft dispatching school is the best decision for your new career.
So you have chosen the right career in aviation and have decided to become an aircraft dispatcher, but why attend Sheffield School of Aeronautics over any other FAA-Approved aircraft dispatcher school? Sheffield is the oldest aircraft dispatching school in the WORLD. Established in 1948, Sheffield’s reputation is dubbed as providing over 75+ years of excellence and training thousands of people from around the world. Not only does Sheffield comply with the FAA’s regulations, but we exceed them!
Come to sunny South Florida! Our aircraft dispatcher program is located in Fort Lauderdale. With beautiful weather and sandy beaches, there is much to enjoy during study breaks.
Get your career in the fast lane with our aircraft dispatching courses that are 5 weeks or less. Not only can Sheffield prepare you to ace your FAA-examinations for your aircraft dispatching certificate, but we will do so in our rigorous one to five-week residency training program. Course schedules for our aircraft dispatcher programs vary, but all classes are held from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and, depending on the time frame chosen, distance learning may be required.
Too busy for in-class sessions? Not a problem. Sheffield is one of few FAA-approved aviation schools that allow distance learning. Our online aircraft certification program is recommended for extremely disciplined students that will be able to meet the demands of the course. Motivated individuals that enroll in an online-based aircraft dispatcher course will be given usually 2-4 months access to the online program to complete all assignments; this is Phase 1 of the program. Phase 2 consists of a 1-week, 40-hour residency in our Fort Lauderdale location. After both phases have been completed, the student is required to take the practical examination in-person.
Sheffield has developed a very strong reputation in the aviation industry, which has helped graduates be recruited by both private and commercial airlines. Some of the airlines that have recruited Sheffield aircraft dispatcher graduates are: Delta, United, American, Virgin, Cayman, Shanghai, ExpressJet, UPS, Ford Motor, General Motors, Mobil Oil, Atlantic Southeast, Bahamas Air and more.
