Subject: Re: Why Sheffield?
Thank you for receiving my application. Although
------- has a dispatch academy, I have always heard that Sheffield
is the best. To me, it is the difference between attending a community
college vs. Harvard. There is no comparison. My goal is to someday
work for the majors. Sheffield will better prepare me through additional
training such as the AIFP, EWINS and ETOPS courses. I feel that
with the great hands-on training along with the additional training
you provide, I will have the advantage over other applicants. I
understand that it will be some time before I go to the majors but
I want to be prepared no matter where I go after Sheffield. I just
don't want to go to a dispatch school that will merely prepare me
to take the ADX. This is an investment in my future and I did my
homework and feel as though I have made the best choice for myself.
Everybody I have spoken to has heard of Sheffield and highly recomend
attending your training. I have either heard stories or read about
those individuals who attended other dispatch training and have
come to Sheffield to re-learn everything the right way. I don't
want to make the same mistake.

chose Sheffield because I had heard about the quality and depth of
training at this school. I know a lot of people who have gotten their
license, but they don't understand the nuts and bolts behind the license.
Mostly, this happens because their schools have concentrated on just
getting the students through the testing - not necessarily training
and preparing them for their future careers. My company has sent people
in the past, and, their comments were all very positive. Also, I know
a few pilots that have sent sons and daughters to Sheffield. It didn't
matter who I had talked to because they all had amazingly said the
same thing. A tough, excellent school that really excelled in getting
the point across down to those nuts and bolts of dispatching."
