What
the Airline Industry is Saying!
From our documented
class evaluations:
Recent
Course Evaluations (with a few "classics")
I found
Eric's method of teaching very engaging. He made the material understandable
with an excellent dry sense of humor, which made comprehending the
overwhelming amount of information easier to digest.
I am
truly impressed with the commitment Eric and his staff has in ensuring
that the students do have an understanding of the material before
the day's lesson is over. I chose to attend this school after visiting,
talking with graduates, and going online. I heard many things about
how hard I'd have to work. how much information will be needed to
learn and how well the school will prepare me for a career as an Aircraft
Dispatcher. Since what has been said has come true, I can only appreciate
the combination of Eric's teaching and hard work in obtaining a successful
start in my new career.
Thanks
for your efforts in making this course a great learning experience
for me.
Many
thanks for a "great" opportunity which has yielded many
good things for me personally. It has also allowed me to grow as an
individual as well as in the workplace.
Best
Regards, and Onward and Upward to Sheffield!!!

Eric,
This
has been an experience. I have matured more in life by taking this
class. I know myself just a little bit more than before the six weeks.

As challenging
as the course was, Eric made it very enjoyable. I consider myself
very fortunate to have been under his instruction. Keep up the very
exceptional work!

Eric,
Thank
you very much! The course was not only extremely informative, but
entertaining as well. I feel that I am in a much better position to
start my career in dispatching, than I would be if I had taken a course
at another school. I have always done well academically, but that
is in large part due to good luck in having exceptional intructors.
I feel this is why I have done well in this course. Thank you for
everything and good luck! I'll be sure to keep in touch.
Sincerely,

Dear
Eric,
This
course has changed my life already. I have achieved a goal that has
been set for years, but could not, until this year, achieve. You are
a very good teacher and that has helped me a lot. I know that more
is to come and I am ready for it and it is because of you!
Thank
you,

I've
done many courses in the past and this was by far the most effective
and professional. The methods of teaching such complex subjects in
a relatively short time was just excellent. I would like to thank
Eric Morris and Sheffield School for teaching me more than just dispatching,
and sending me on into my future career with more than just a license.
God bless
you Eric and thank you.

This
is one of the best schools ever and I am sure I am going to recommend
this school to my friends who are looking forward to take the Dispatch
course. Keep it up. Eric, you are "Great."

I have
undergone several academic drills in my life, but my experience with
Sheffield is exceptional. The small size of the school has brought
staff and students closer. My experience as a sick student during
my early days at Sheffield, leading to my admission to a hospital
and in consideration of the role played by Sheffield staff, I am more
than convinced that this institution is as well a home. Keep the flag
flying.

Erik,
I want
to thank you for giving me a sense of confidence in myself. After
the course, I feel like I can take on any challenge and succeed. I
now know what Sheffield is all about! Bringing out the best in yourself
and others. Thank you for sharing so much with me and the rest. I
can now walk with my head high because I have accomplished a lot!
The strong foundation that you have given me, is something that I
will continue to build upon!
Thank
you, Erik!

I'm
very happy to be a Sheffield graduate, not just because they are the
best in the business, because you can learn real dispatching here
and be worthy of your license. The facilities, teachers, teaching
methods are far beyond comparison. I really enjoyed my studies over
here even though it pushed me to my limits. I'd like to thank Eric
specifically for being an outstanding teacher and would strongly recommend
Sheffield School of Aeronautics to anybody whoˆïs thinking to be a
dispatcher. "To be the best, Learn from the best."

Dear
Eric,
I am
writing to you today to thank you for the education your school has
offered as I found it to be of the highest quality. I was certainly
challenged by it and I am coming from a college education in which
I was fortunate enough to graduate a year early from, which says something
for the caliber of the individual I am and what my expectations of
an institution might therefore be. Nonetheless, I was impressed and
will recommend you to any others that show interest in the field.
Thx and
God Bless,

Eric,
It will
be five years next week since graduating Sheffield and receiving my
dispatcher certificate. Looking back I can honestly say it's been
a wild ride! After dispatching for almost 4 years, the flying bug
overcame me and I decided to throw my hat into the ring to become
an airline pilot. I succeeded and presently am a First officer for
Mesaba Airlines based in Memphis flying the Bae146-RJ85 jet aircraft.
One of the many things I learned at Sheffield, besides how to take
one of your tests, was how to study. While attending initial ground
school and flight training at British Aerospace Training Facility
in Woodford England last winter, I called upon these same study habits
again. It was rough! I passed and now I am happily enjoying life flying
the line. It's funny, I always considered myself a pilot first, and
dispatcher second. But now I find myself everyday thinking like a
dispatcher first, pilot second. Flying the line is easy and more enjoyable
because I can see the big picture and offer professional suggestions.
It's easy to smile when captains ask me how did I know this or come
up with that. I attribute my aviation/airline knowledge to the strong
foundation you laid, the high standards you demanded from each of
us, and the intense challenge you presented to our class five years
ago.
Thanks
again,

Eric,
Although we had several conversations regarding the course, dispatching
in general, and a variety of other topics, I felt obligated to let
you know once again how appreciative I am for your time, effort, and
patience. As I told you, I have had a genuine interest in Flight Control
for many years, and I feel extremely fortunate to have been given
this opportunity. Thx for making my dream a reality.

Dear
Eric,
Just
a quick note of thanks for an excellent 6 weeks in your course. My
success was highly motivated by the course itself, and my enjoyment
of the material. Actually, while there was a bunch of material to
absorb, and while that material will be useful in an aircraft dispatcher
position, I think the most important lesson I took home from Sheffield
was 'attention to detail.' Some people say that this is what separates
the excellent people from the good people. And in an arena like a
dispatch office, I think this is one of the more important traits.
My 2 hours spent at Carnival Air Lines Dispatch showed me what a dynamic,
exciting position this will be. So, Eric, again thanks. You made an
impression on my life, and hopefully I will take the lessons from
Sheffield into the airline world, and make it a slightly safer industry.
Sincerely
Yours,
Dennis

Dear
Eric,
Just
a note of Thanks to you and your staff at Sheffield. I have enclosed
a polo shirt from our company as a gift of appreciation. Please give
a Thanks to your mother for her hospitality and support. But especially
to your father for working with me for almost a year in trying to
work me back into a class. I will never forget my experience and hopefully
knowledge that I have gained at Sheffield. I will always recommend
your school over any others not only because I attended, but that
it still has the personal touch that so many busunesses have lost
these days. Thank you again and hope to meet up with "the crew"
in the future.
Sincerely
yours,

Sorry
I haven't emailed sooner. Have been very busy getting indoctrinated
into the Evergreen Aviation way of doing things. I couldn't be happier
and I'm sure the added classes very well may have been the clincher
in being picked up here. Sheffield is the finest. I enjoyed my seven
weeks there and will always have great things to say about your superb
operation. Thanks again for everything. I truly am grateful for your
high standards.

Hello Ron,
Eric and Katja,
As a graduate
from your last 2000 class, I am pleased to let you know that I have
accepted a job offer from Atlantic Coast Airlines and I am presently
in their initial training. All what we have covered so far has been
an easy review, which tells me what you have said all along, "Sheffield
School prepares its graduates very well for the position of dispatcher."
I have met three other Sheffield graduates who all said that I was well
prepared for work as a dispatcher since I went
to Sheffield.
Thanks,
All the best, -
Mike C.

Dear Ron,
Ellen, and Eric,
I'm going
through ground school (for Continental ground instructors) on B737-200
systems, which I will be instructing in a few weeks. While I didn't
end up in dispatch right now, I'm sure the school helped me sound more
knowledgeable during the interview with Continental. The fact that I
had basic Boeing systems from your 727 intro, and knew an MEL from a
CDL, didn't hurt. I also have to do a section on planning and performance
in 737 class, so Eric's emphasis on takeoff and landing limits and penalties
will be put to good use. Thanks again for the support during and after
school.

Eric,
Just thought
I'd thank you for helping me to get a position dispatching. I accepted
an offer from Paradise Airways in Smyrna, TN, which should begin sometime
around the end of January. I guess I'll find out just how much I remember
from class, but I am confident in saying I already know more about an
APU than I ever wanted to know. Thanks for the education at Sheffield,
and for putting in a good word for me at Paradise.

Eric,
We really
appreciate you being so patient with us. Thanks a lot for everything.
But if you ever have another "Lola" in class, please do not
repeat the word "Low-level" so much. You'll scare her as much
as me (I jumped every time I heard it!!) By the way, your Spanish accent,
when you pronounced our names was getting better and better. I suppose
we will have to send all our friends to your school, so your accent
will become perfect. Have a happy Christmas. We wish you the best for
the new year.
