Eric
and everyone,
I've
been meaning to send an update for a long time. I was one of your
graduates from the first class of 2000. I'm at ------- Airlines in
(Tennessee) and have been here for almost a year and a half. I am
one of the few people who went to Sheffield in our dispatch office
and I am very happy I made that decision. I
see other dispatchers who went to other "schools" and am amazed they
even passed an FAA oral exam. There is a definite difference in
the knowledge. Thanks again
for everything. I'm sorry it's taken me this long to write. If you
would like any information on --- --- for your students let me know.
We need quality dispatchers and I would like to see new people come
from Sheffield rather than other schools. Again, thanks for everything.

Great
website! ...Graduated at the top of the class on September 2, 1993.
After completing undergraduate degree, I accepted my first dispatch
job at American International Airways in November 1995. Over two years
after completing your course! Rose from entry level flight follower
to supervisor, then manager. All within 14 months of date of hire!
Your training paved the way...
Regards,
B.B.

Graduated
July 99. My update - After dispatching and flying at Chalk's for over
a year, I landed another great job. TSA (d/b/a Trans World Express
& US Airways Express), hired me to fly the EMB RJ. I started there
in May but was furloughed in October. In the meantime, the
dispatcher ticket has come in handy again. I'm back in
SoFla working at Lynx as a dispatcher. Food on the table and head
still in the aviation game. Sidenote: JP D., a Sheffield classmate,
was called back to fly the J41 at TSA.

Hi Ron,
Eric, Bruce,
I'll
never forget you and this school that made me know myself, that gave
me not only the information and knowledge to succeed in this job,
but also the courage to always trust myself and face all the problems
I'll face in my life. You were my instructors and my family at the
same time. I thank you for everything and hope to see you soon.
With
all my best regards and wishes,
B. Ghanem
Sheffield
note - a testimony that our course is not a "flash cards/highlighter-only
test prep" course. We prepare you to tackle the dispatch profession
head-on following graduation.

downlocked
(43/M/las vegas, nv) 6/15/01 9:25 pm In all seriousness, if you really,
really want a dispatcher job...go to Sheffield. There is really no
other way to lock in a job when you walk thru an employer's door.
Sheffield does not teach you how to take the test they teach you
the job!
I am
so happy to have gone to your school. I have met other dispatchers
that have gone through other schools and they just don't have the
aggressive way of dealing with situations, or the knowledge that it
takes to get a flight off the ground. Feb 17, 2001 T.W.
I am
presently in Initial (airline) training. All what we have covered
so far has been an easy review, which tells me what you have said
all along, "Sheffield School prepares its graduates very well
for the position of dispatcher." Jan 22, 2001 M. Carver

Hello
Eric,
My compliments
for your performance as an instructor (AIFP, ETOPS) that was indeed
some levels above that of our instructors.

Hi Eric,
In '98
I took my wife's advice.."Spend the extra $ to travel to Fla and go
to Sheffield"...the best advice I have ever
taken. I guess we'll be seeing you early next year here
@ Skywest
All the
best,

Hi Eric
and Aloha from Hawaii,
Thanks
for everything, it was a great experience! I've met several people
in crew scheduling who want to make the move to Dispatching and told
them to definitely attend Sheffield
for their license. They would be crazy not to. By the way,
I've already met a former Sheffield graduate at Island Air - small
world.
Thanks,
Walt
