Hi Ron, Eric, and Brett,

I'm just dropping a note to let you know I was hired by Horizon Air last week, and started with my training today. Lee Wilson and the staff are great and I am looking forward to getting into the dispatcher's position. Thanks for the training and support!!!

PS - The Sheffield School diploma spoke for itself!

Dear Ron, Ellen, and Eric:

"...So far I've gone on six interviews, and have narrowed it down to (two airlines). I've been amazed by how many of these companies have said that they will only hire Sheffield graduates. Your reputation and training is second to none! Thank You!"

Hi Ron, Ellen, Eric & the family,

I just wanted to tell you that I had a great time at Sheffield School and the knowledge I acquired has been of great advantage, here at my work place. Wishing you all success this year. Cheers and God bless.

Greetings all:

I do hope that all is well with the Sheffield/Morris family. I was browsing your web page and must say that I am proud to be a Sheffield Graduate. I am presently working at FINEAIR in Miami and loving it so far.

All the very best.

Dear Ron,

I just wanted to say thanks for the education I received at Sheffield. The school was the hardest school I have ever been to, but also by far it was the most rewarding school. I consider getting my Dispatcher license from Sheffield one of my greatest accomplishments. I am looking forward to my new career as a dispatcher, and the training I received from you folks gives me the confidence that I will do it well.

Sincerely,

Art J. McColgan

Dear Ron,

"... since its been about 15 months since I've graduated from Sheffield, I thought I would share some thoughts about how things have been-for me as a Dispatcher...As it also happens, there are about six or seven Sheffield grads that I'm working with; maybe I'm biased, but it seems that the grads from your school seem to be sharper than the rest of the dispatchers. Although I've always considered any license a "license to learn", your course went above and beyond the minimums. During my ground school the instructor even commented that, "..Sheffield has really been thorough, you guys really know your stuff.." Nothing they taught about reading the Jepp's or the FAR's got by me...If my career in dispatch is anything like my first year, then I'm quite content, because dispatching is a blast!

Sincerely, A.P.

Dear Sheffield School,

"...Everything that I have learned at Sheffield has made my job look so easy, especially the North Atlantic crossings that we deal with everyday along with the ETPs (equal time points) and ETOPS (Engines Turn or People Swim, excuse me, Extended Twin-engine operations)."

Thanks again, A.S.

Dear Eric,

Just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for your help...on June 1st I begin employment as a Southwest Dispatcher. I feel this is due to the excellent training from Sheffield and your willingness to answer my questions even after my graduation. A student is only as good as his teacher and your and Sheffield are the experts in the dispatcher field.

Thank you again, Theresa J.

Dear Ron, Ellen, Eric, Roger, and Lynn,

I want to thank all of you for the great job you did training me for a Dispatcher Career. I am now working for Delta Airlines and looking forward to a career in Dispatch. Your school required that I work for the knowledge and this gave me the self-esteem to apply for one of the best jobs in the airline industry. I have my license framed and on the wall in my office.

Sincerely, David R., Atlanta, GA

Dear Ron,

This time last year I was facing a career change, not knowing which way to go. Who would have thought that after six weeks of intensive training at Sheffield, I would be in a well-paying field where I am always in demand?! I want to take this opportunity to give credit to the excellent instruction I received at Sheffield and to thank you for the time you have taken to advise me and guide me to positions in the airline industry. The knowledge I received at Sheffield and the contacts I made have truly changed my life.

Sincerely, Roddy C

Dear Ron,

I want to thank you for my recent Aircraft Dispatcher training, and compliment you and your family on the first-class organization you've put together there in Ft. Lauderdale. Your high standards and commitment to excellence were evident throughout my six weeks there, and I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to earn my license under your guidance. Although you have a professional computer system, great training materials, and a comfortable learning environment, all those things would be worthless without a top-notch instructor. Well, Eric is definitely top-notch. His solid instruction is the main reason I feel confident and well-prepared to begin a new career as a dispatcher. I'll keep you posted on my progress. In the meantime, please extend my thanks to everyone; it was a pleasure to get to know you and your family.

Don M.

Dear Ron:

As you know I have just started working for Comair Airlines as a flight dispatcher. Thank you for helping me get my certificate and providing me with all the job assistance in the form of the numerous job cards I have received. Since I graduated in April I have had 12 interviews and 7 job offers and decided that Comair would be the best place to begin my career. Please convey my thanks to Lynn for the excellent instruction she gave during my class. Coming from Sheffield I feel as though I had a thorough preparation to become a professional airline dispatcher. I also really appreciate the hard work of both Ellen and Eric in making everything possible.

Sincerely, Raj Singh, 1996

Note: Raj had a featured role (the young Prince) in the film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom".

June 28, 1998

Dear Ron: just a quick note to keep you updated on my whereabouts and new goals. I moved this past October from Wichita (and Ryan International Airlines) to Indianapolis, IN where I'm now dispatching for Emery Worldwide Airlines at the U.S. Postal Hub. After 7 months, I've just accepted a promotion to Supervisor of System Control over 5 guys my senior.

I still try to convince those considering dispatch school to do it right and go to Sheffield. I hope my name will continue to appear on your paperwork as a reference, as I feel that's the least I can do for what the school has provided for me. Hope all's well with you, Ellen, and Eric. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Best Wishes Always,
B.C.

Dear Eric:

I want to let you know how great it was to attend Sheffield again and get up to speed. I feel very confident.
The AIFP and ETOPS courses were excellent and coupled with the fact I attended Sheffield will give me a distinct advantage over other applicants.

Once again, thanks for letting me sit in on the accelerated course. The accommodations at Homestead Studios were great, and the Oasis classroom blew me away. My wife saw the photos on your website and is not really convinced I could get any work done in such surroundings.

Take care of yourself.

Steven Thomson

I am extremely glad that I chose Sheffield over any other flight dispatch school. The quality of instruction and course materials was absolutely first-rate! In fact, this course's instruction was as good as any instruction that I have ever received, including college and law school. I now feel very well-equipped to perform well at any airline and I very much look forward to the challenge. Thanks for having the courage to be difficult and demanding. Those who graduate from Sheffield will certainly benefit the profession for it!

Special cudos go to Brett Bories our instructor. He is a wonderfully earnest man who sincerely cares that his students learn and learn well. His enthusiasm and professionalism really shine through!

I enjoyed the class very much. I was told it would push me harder than I have ever been pushed, but I didn't expect this much. You can be intelligent and experienced and still pushed to your limits here. I interviewed early with Lynx Air and found out that the reason they called was because I was going to Sheffield, and the only thing they're worried about is me leaving them because I will be in demand, with a little experience coupled with a Sheffield degree. So thank you again and I appreciate everything.

Dear Eric,

I hope this short note finds you and your family in good health!

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I now am employed by Southern Air Inc. in Columbus,Ohio.

Further, the entire dispatch office from the boss on down are all proud owners of a Sheffield School Diploma. Kirt S. from my class and Robert L. and Joel R. from the class right before my class are all on duty now. We just finished our initial training as well as Hazmat. Needless to say, after our Sheffield training we were well prepared. We are doing 4 on 4 off and were started at an average pay of $30,000.00 with 2 weeks vacation and full benefits!

I can't thank you guys enough. If anyone needs any confirmation that Sheffield is THE school to attend ... feel free to give them my E-mail.

In closing we are using Navtech's Aurora system to dispatch. What a dream to use. Thanks again for having such a wonderful school, feel free to use this as a little "inspiration" to those who think it's impossible to doll

Hello Everyone,

Just thought I'd drop a quick line to the Sheffield crew! Doug Baker here.

I was down for the June class with Lynn over the summer. I'm sure missing the South Florida climate now that things are turning grey here in Illinois. School started back up at the end of August. I just finished the multi / Commercial course at the University of Illinois. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that perfect pilot / dispatcher opportunity. College life will keep me busy for a little while before I start the hunt.

Thanks are in order for the excellent experience I had at Sheffield this past summer. You offered the perfect blend of professionalism tempered with levity in class everyday. I took away not only knowledge of dispatching, but also many insights into the world of commercial aviation as a whole. I'm confident that I'll be able to parlay my Sheffield experience into an airline position when I finish at the U of Illinois. Right now, I'm already impressing some fellow student-pilots with my M.E.L. knowledge and flight planning skills.

You may see me back for a review in your accelerated course before I make the plunge into the "real world." Anyway, I need an excuse to come down and cast a line to the Atlantic for one of those Billfish or Tarpon.

That's all for now!

Doug Baker

PS. Glad y'all dodged the brunt of Floyd. Date: Fri, 03 Sep 1999

Hey Ron:

Just wanted to drop a line and say hello from St. Louis and let you know how things are going.

First of all, Stephan, Jamie and I are all still here and just this afternoon we were thinking back that in just a few days it will be a whole year since we all met for the first time at Sheffield (8/14/98).

We spoke not too long ago about Sheffield now using ASD (aircraft situation display) in class. I can't tell you how much we depend on that piece of equipment in our office. Not only does it help us to depict weather and help us reroute flights when its needed but we can keep track of that flight every minute its in the air. I guarantee every Student who becomes familiar with ASD will be very thankful that you introduced it to them and it will make their job much easier.

This month I start working the EMB 145 jet. When I work with turboprops ... I tend to forget some of the things I learned in reference to high altitude routes and such. But everything that I'm dealing with in terms of the jet makes perfect sense. It still amazes me though that what we learned in class, some people in our office have never heard of or are very unfamiliar with subjects that we used everyday in class. Give credit where credit is due. There are some people here who know their stuff and I've learned so much from, but for a few I wonder what would happen if I went where they did to get my training.

And by the way, a lot of people have told me that they wished they took ETOPS and the International course (AIFP) as well. It's funny because occasionally I'll mention something about ETOPS and all of a sudden people want to know everything I learned. Well I hope nobody decides to "nickle and dime" their education. They should take advantage of those workshops. I guarantee it'll make it a lot easier to get to majors.

Again, I want to thank you for everything you've done for us. We'll never forget the incredible time we had down there ..things like feeding the fish in the Blue Lagoon, all those times of crashing for a test til 2 and 3 in the morning, just helping each other make it through...eating the salad bar at Ruby's everyday because it was so cheap ... unwinding down the beach after a tough week.

All the best to everybody and we'll talk to you real soon

Sincerely,

John Matthews

Hope everything is going well at the BEST school. I just wanted to let you know I left my position at Continental Express and am now at ------Air*. The biggest reason for leaving was being away from my wife every week. I would recommend CoEx to any of your graduates - I enjoyed it. The starting pay is around $26,000/year (salaried). I was releasing the regional jet out of EWR and B-1900 out of CLE.

In training for ------Air today we (3 dispatchers/13 pilots) were going over alternate min's.They call it method 1 and method 2 instead of one navaid or two navaid, anyway the other two dispatchers in the class COULD NOT read the Jepp plates, recall the 1 - 2 navaid rules, and were misinformed concerning the landing mins at our destination airports also. One student went to "that school" in Texas and the other to ------------* in NY. I didn't have the heart to tell them they wasted their money and TIME by NOT going to Sheffield!

Tell everyone I said hello.

Take care,

Hi Eric, Ron and gang,

New computers look great! Just thought I would let you know where I am now. Unfortunately, Comair could not hold on to me later than November 16. I made the move to Air Wisconsin in Appleton, WI, my hometown. I was hired to bring the Canadair Regional Jet online. With my four years working at Comair, (and about 3 months dispatching) I know the CRJ quite well. Since nobody at Air Wis had ever seen the airplane before, I became the "man". I ended up dispatching the CRJ for the FAA proving runs. Since then, we ordered 10 more CRJs. I thank you for the rigorous training that allowed me to market myself for this new position. I noticed you have Air Wisconsin on a job card I just received. Anyone can contact me for info. My e-mail is crj050@hotmail.com.

Take care,

Brad Janss

Hello Ron and Bob,

How are you getting on with the daily challenges of the School ?

I am sending this e-mail from Daniel Acquah's office in Accra, Ghana. The Gambia CAA and Ghana CAA have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) under which I am on attachment at the Ghana CAA from 4th to 15th October, 1999.

It is quite amazing that four of us here are ex-students of Sheffield School and we have been talking a lot about the School since I arrived. We think it has been a great experience having attended the School and the knowledge and skills acquired will go a long way in enhancing our output in our field of work. We are appreciative of this fact and grateful to the School and all of you for such an achievement.

Extend our heartfelt greetings to Eric, Ron, Bruce, Ellen, Lynn and the rest.

We wish the school, prosperity and the proprietors, long lives, good health and great fortune.

KEBBA LAMIN JAMMEH, DANIEL ACQUAH, EDWARD AKOHENE (Asst.Director of Flight Safety, Ghana CAA) AND JOHN ARYEETEY.

Ron, I have another interesting story for you from my new job. Today in training, we went over the several charts used extensively at Sheffield, as well as some others. Then, the director of ops asked us to work on a manual flight plan. He noticed that a couple of the students looked confused. Both of them recently graduated from your competitor in ------*. The director of ops was surprised that they did ONLY 1 manual flight plan, and barely even looked at the charts we used. He commented that he is "losing confidence" in the ------ school!

Makes me more glad that I made the choice I did.

Ron,

Thanks a million! I received your letter today. What a wonderful recruiting tool. The testimonials are superb!

Unfortunately, I'm unable to enroll in your next class; however, I did receive the application package. I will make my decision as soon as a major airline I'm talking with decides what they'll do with me. I told them that I was planning to go to the Sheffield School. The next word out of the Chief Dispatcher's mouth was, "Do you mean Ron Morris?" I said yes, and he replied, "that's a great school." Yes, your reputation precedes you.

I'm also acquainted with a staff instructor of another major airline and he's the one that suggested your institution. After looking at other curriculums, and their fancy vacation brochures, my choice is indeed the Sheffield School of Aeronautics. Hopefully I'll be in the next class, but at the moment I must await that fateful decision.

Thanks again for your personal approach to a professional undertaking. Hope to hear from you soon.

This letter was from a prospective student who did his homework. E.M.

Dear Ron, Ellen, Eric, Lynn, and Bruce:

"Well, Scott, Ross, and Gavin just made it through our ground school and they are sitting here right now working their way through our system. If you remember, I e-mailed you prior to Tory Meisel's recruiting trip to your school, telling you to find us some good guys.Well, needless to say you outdid yourselves. I think that all three of them will do well here and I hope that they will stay a long time..."Just wanted to say hi to you all and hopefully we will be talking to you soon.

Very truly yours,

Paul H. Bass, Class of July 1997

Great Lakes/United Express

Dear Ron and family,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff at Sheffield for the wonderful training I received. I came into your school having no formal background in aviation and I left with training that has afforded me the chance to go anywhere in this field. Your staff of instructors are top-notch, and are well known in the aviation industry. I had over 12 interviews and job offers around the country and every interview I went on I was told that they called because they saw I was trained at Sheffield. Sheffield is a very respected name in this business. I especially would like to thank Eric. He made the course not only interesting but fun. His experiences in the field added an insight into what we as dispatchers could expect. This is a very exciting career and I am certainly glad I chose to enter this field when I did.

I have been working for Universa1 Weather and Aviation almost six months and I work with six other Sheffield alumni. I have been exposed to more aircraft in this job than I probably would ever be anywhere else and I dispatch aircraft to places that I never imagined people flew to. I love what I do and enjoy the people I work with. What more could anybody ask from a job? Thank you again for the training that got me in the door and hired.

Yours Professionally, James "Dusty" Miller, 1996

Dear Ron:

I am writing to thank you for all the help that you gave me after I graduated from Sheffield. I can't tell you how much it was appreciated. As you know I am working for Business Express Airlines in New Hampshire and for the first time in my post college career I can honestly say that I like my job! I never thought that I would have an exciting career. But now I can't wait to go to work and actually have fun doing it. In addition I would like to say that when someone who is as busy as you are takes the time to help a graduate as much as you did, well that just goes to show the caliber of person that you are! Thanks again for all your advice and support and please say hello to everyone at Sheffield.

Sincerely, Sal Vicari

Dear Ron,

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for my new career. After looking at several different options and schools all over the U.S., and researching a Dispatch career for over 8 months, I decided upon Sheffield School of Aeronautics. My main reasons for choosing Sheffield were many...cost of the program, location, itinerary, and the people involved were very helpful, open, and honest. By far, the largest factor influencing my decision, however, was the credibility of the school. Literally every Dispatcher I talked to (and I talked to a lot of Dispatchers with a lot of airlines in the U.S.) had heard of Sheffield and agreed it was an excellent school, whether they had attended there or not. Four of the six Dispatchers I now work with attended Sheffield. After graduating from Sheffield...I have found that I have greater knowledge than many people who have been in the business for years. I could not have been better prepared for the job I am now doing, that is working as a Dispatcher for a small Part 121 international carrier. I would highly recommend Sheffield School of Aeronautics to anyone considering a career in Dispatch.

Jim J., Dispatcher, Paradise Island Airlines

Dear Ron,

I just wanted to let you know that my Sheffield training has really paid off, as I am about to begin working for a major airline. I found that during my interviews with the various airlines, everyone seemed to know about Sheffield, and they pretty much indicated that they preferred Sheffield Graduates over others, because Sheffield has the reputation of putting out some of the best. Recently, during an interview with the major that I will be working for, I was given a series of four written tests. I was able to pass the tests, and I actually aced them. Even though I had not actually prepared for the tests, I felt confident because of my training at Sheffield School was so complete. During my interview, the Director of Flight Operations complimented me on doing so well...he also said I would be coming on with more training than most of his other dispatchers because I was a Sheffield Graduate. Did that make me sit up in my chair! I am proud that I am a Sheffield GradThanks again and best wishes,

K.C.

Dear Mr. Morris:

I want to take the opportunity to thank you for the excellent job you had done training the July 24th class that I was enrolled in. I feel very confident that I left with a solid foundation on which to build a successful dispatch career. I know landing a job in the airline industry depends on experience and good training. The preparation Sheffield school and yourself provided was outstanding training, and now I can focus on getting the experience required by most major airlines. I know it will only be a matter of time before I reach my goal of working for a major air carrier.

When I obtain the right opportunity that I am seeking I will keep you informed. Hope to see you one day for recurrent training. Thank you once again, and I appreciate being able to use you as a reference.

Sincerely,

Gary R. Maslankowski

Dear Ron,

First off, Happy New Year to you and your family! I just thought I'd drop you a line, and since its been about 15 months since I've graduated from Sheffield, I thought I would share some thoughts about how things have been-for me as a Dispatcher. Currently, I am dispatching for Continental Express in Houston, Texas. I was very fortunate to hook on with the same company that I had already been working for. As a matter of fact, there were two other graduates from my class at the interview; I think you might already know that Jeff Hansen was also hired by Express a few months after me. As it also happens, there are about six or seven Sheffield grads working for Continental Express; maybe I'm biased, but it seems that the grads from your school seem to be sharper than the rest of the dispatchers. Although I've always considered any license a "license to learn", your course went above and beyond the minimums. During my ground school the instructor even commented that, "..Sheffield has really been thorough, you guys really know your stuff.." Nothing they taught about reading the Jepp's or the FAR's got by me...

If my career in dispatch is anything like my first year, then I'm quite content, because dispatching is a blast!

Sincerely,
Alan Pechman

Sheffield School Congratulates all of our Graduates!

You've worked extra hard, you've earned your license, and you've built a very solid foundation!

You can be very proud. We certainly are. All the best.
