Hi Morris
Family!
Just
wanted to let you know that yours truly (graduate July-Sept 90) has
just been appointed Flight Dispatch Manager of Emirates Airlines.
I am convinced the professional training I received at Sheffield was
a huge help in getting me where I am right now. Thanks a lot!

Hello,
Just
wanted to let you know that it may have took a while, (8 months with
Delta) but now I will be working in Delta's Load Control Center. When
I had the intervie they told me that the average senority in LCC is
about 15 years with Delta. Needless to say I was surprised when I
found out the other week that I got a job in there. I have to say
that I am sure that one of the things that
was most helpful in getting the position was having a Dispatchers
license from Sheffield. Just wanted to let you know, and
THANKS.

Hi Eric,
I was
hired by Great Lakes Aviation and have gone through initial training.
I have been on my own for almost a month now. I am enjoying the job
and meeting a lot of great people.
Once
again I would like to thank you and Ron for all the things I learned
from Sheffield. I can never repay you for the opportunity you have
given me. All I do is just say "Thank You."
Sincerely,

Hello
everyone,
I graduated
October of 1996 (the same class as Brett!) and have kept coming back
to your fabulous web site. My life since graduation has changed dramatically
since graduation. I only worked for a Part 121 Airline for 1 month
before getting a 135 job in my home town. That first 121 job paid
$18,000/yr. I thought at the time that it wasn't that bad but I now
work for a 135 charter airline based in Carlsbad, CA (Just north of
San Diego) and recently took over as Charter Manager. Now I make $50,000/yr.
Not bad pay increases. You were right when you said that Licensed
Dispatchers incomes were above average. I still can't believe that
in less than 4 years I went from 18 to 50,000 in salary. (That and
living here in Southern California!) What I am trying to say, is that
it would not have been possible without your
school and the reputation that you have developed in the industry
over the years. This is my sincere thank you for the professional
education that I got at your school and the wonderful opportunities
that have come my way because of Sheffield! It may have taken me awhile
to write to you, but I did want you to know that there is another
graduate completely satisfied and thankful for your school.
Thank
You,

Hello
Everybody,
I graduated
last December 1999, almost one year later I'm pleased to announce
to you that I was selected for a position of Global Operation Control
Specialist for Fedex at Paris Airport. This was possible thanks to
the license and the aviation knowledge I received at your school.
Thanks
so much for the training.

Greetings
All:
Went
to Delta this past weekend and sat with a dispatcher for several hours.
It felt great! From weather, to routing, tankering, MEL/CDL,implications,
fuel problems, there were very few things I hadn't seen or heard before.
I enjoyed it immensely because of the training. Well done!

Got hired by UPS as a dispatch technician and will be moving to Louisville
next week and start at UPS on the 19th. The guy who helped me went

Ron, Bruce, Eric:
I attended
your school and graduated in February of 1999. 1 worked at the time
at Continental Airlines as a Crew Coordinator. After graduating, I
was hired by Continental Dispatch in March of 1999. I spent a year,
entering NOTAMS and all of the rest of the "real" important things
AD's get to do. But, started "ground school" with Continental in January.
Last night, I had my "desk check" and passed. I am now a CAL Dispatcher!
I can't thank you and your staff enough for
the excellent training that I received at your school.
I have a graveyard line,domestic.
Thanks
again,

Mr. Morris,
I work
with several graduates of your school and yes I am a graduate of a
different school. I was interested in continuing my education and
your school offers many courses that are not available where I attended
school*. The people I work with
are very boastful about your courses and I simply wish to investigate
the possibility of expanding my knowledge. I simply wish to become
more informed and the guys and gals who attended your school really
are convinced that I can get it there.

school claims to have the same courses at no cost. You can make the

Hello
from Tyrolean Airways, Innsbruck - Austria. I was the third dispatcher
of our airline to attend your course in JAN/FEB 93 held by Eric. Until
now there have been more than 10 other colleagues of Tyrolean at your
school. I am now responsible for the navigation-department in our
company (flight planning and associated matters) and also my new colleague
- starting in March - will be a graduate of Sheffield. Are you planning
also to put pictures of older classes on the internet pages? Maybe
some of my former classmates will read this letter. It would be great
if they could send me a short notice what they are doing now. I only
have knowledge from Urs Haller/Switzerland who still works with Atraxis
(Swissair IT) and who shared the appartment with me (along with Lou
Rossi and Alan Vandergrift (both US). PS: Tyrolean has now a new web-page.

I have
said it before, but I can't thank you enough for the education you
gave me. The school thoroughly prepared me for the job and without
that kind of education, I don't feel I would be as successful as I
have been. Some of
the best people in the office are Sheffield alumni and the training
you give people sets the pattern for their careers.
I need
to go for now as my flight plans are waiting for me. If you need anything,
let me know and thanks again.

Dear
Eric, Brett, Ron, and everyone at Sheffield:
I would
like to take this time to thank you again for an incredible six weeks
of training from everyone at Sheffield. I was most impressed by the
staff and the level of professionalism. I would highly recommend it
to anyone thinking about a career in Dispatch.
I would
also like to mention that I was offered a job at Shuttle America
in Windsor Locks, CT. I am very excited about taking this new job
and the opportunities that lies ahead. It would not have been as easy
without your training. Thanks again... and I will keep in touch. Hope
everyone has a wonderful new year!!

Hello
Eric and Happy Holidays again.
I want
to thank you for being so kind to take time out of your busy morning
to talk with me about your excellent teaching facility there at Sheffields.
I really left there feeling even better about what I can expect and
what would be required of me to do well and obtain my license. In
a couple of weeks I will have a better idea on how thing are here
so that I may be able to pin down a date to start the course work.
AS soon as I know something I will definitely get back to you and
let you know. Once again thanks for taking the time to sit and talk
with me, the other schools we had talked about were not as hospitable
as yours and as a result has made me think twice about them and their
teaching techniques. Thanks again.
Sincerely,

Dear
Ron and Eric,
Well,
hopefully you can remember me from my time with you during the early
part of 1997, and I hope this mail finds you both well in the year
2000. I have just managed to track down your web site, and I have
to say I was very impressed. It is interesting to catch up on everything
that is going on, and you guys certainly seem very busyl As you are
aware, after leaving Sheffield School I worked for the British Airways
Express carrier, CityFlyer at London Gatwick. However, after 18 months
there I needed another challenge, so moved to real long haul work
dispatching Qantas Airways B744 out of Europe, based at London Heathrow.
This is very interesting dispatch work as Qantas operates a true tactical
fuel policy requiring in-depth analysis of Met and Notams. Qantas
fuel policy does not require the filing of a mandatory alternate airfield
(or the carrying of the fuel - but that is another story!) so you
can imagine how detailed the crew briefings have to be once again,
Sheffield School prepared me brilliantly
for the challenge, and it is very safe to say that without graduating
from your school I would not be where I am today. My reason
for contacting you is that I have a few friends looking to gain the
F.A.A. license, and of course I have recommended your school. Would
it be possible for you to send me 3 catalogs. Once again, I hope that
you are all well and the new millennium is treating you OK. I really
look forward to hearing from you soon.
Very
Best Regards, R. PLANT

Hello
Mr. Morris,
I got
a job as an assistant dispatcher for Icelandair
for which I owe all to Sheffield. 85 people applied, but only 6 got
jobs so I am very happy. As I write this, I am on my fourth shift

though I've taken the Sheffield dispatcher course and an Icelandair
course for assistant dispatcher. Please send my regards to everybody.

How are
you all doing? I've just began my second week of working at Atlantic

that Sheffield prepared me very well for what I was expected to know/learn
when I got here. They were surprised at some of the things we were
taught.
Thanks

Ron, Eric, Lynn, Ellen,
I'm going

was quite impressed to be offered the position at Emery. In the interview
I was put through a difficult written exam as wwell as oral test.
I no doubt think my experience and the Sheffield diploma helped me
win the positon.

Dear
Ron, Eric, and everyone,
Just
wanted to write and say "hi." It's been a while since I left school
a couple of months ago. I got a job with Shuttle America Corp. as
a crew scheduler in September. They just celebrated their 1st anniversary
in November and they're doing great. I love it here. Almost all the
dispatchers here are from Sheffield. I should be sliding over to dispatch
very shortly. Just wanted to say thanks for the great job. I learned
so much while I was there. I think the way the class is taught challenges
you to work harder and, therefore, you learn more. I keep referring
to the Green Binder to keep all that information fresh in my mind
until I am using it on a regular basis. Thanks for everything.

Greetings!
I have
a airline dispatcher license that I earned nearly a year ago at "-------
flight dispatcher exam training center" in ---,--. I need to get up
to speed with the Dispatcher knowledge...much has changed. Would the
2-week accelerated course be a good idea? It sounds like what I need
to get sharp. I must admit that I agree with
the Sheffield website about other schools teaching the exam-I felt
a little cheated...Any input welcome.

me were very impressed with me attending your school. They
think very well of it.

Dear
Ron, Ellen, Eric, and Bruce:
Greeting
From Fukuoka. I am now working for Korean Air at Fukuoka Airport.
I had an opportunity to go to Seoul for visiting Korean Air, Operation
Control Center including flight dispatch as my training. I am now
working as flight operations officer at Fukuoka. I am now enjoying
my job including Flight Crew Briefing. Thank you very much for your
kindly acceptance for Annual Dispatch Training in the last may. I
was very enjoying staying at Ft. Lauderdale as same as your school's
lecture. If I would have an opportunity, I
would like to visit and receive your recurrent training again! I think
that your graduate service like free recurrent training is very excellent.
I appreciate your kindness very much. I am looking forward to see
you all again.

I would

Dear
Mr. Ron Morris,
I certainly
did not think that my dispatcher's license in 1979 would lead me to
become a founder of a domestic airline. However, I must say
that getting that license was one of the best moves in my life. Sheffield
had really prepared me to master the airline industry. Having that
dispatchers's license with an MBA made me a strong airline executive.
Ron, here is my project:

Dear
Sheffield,
I am
forwarding a copy of my resume to you in hopes you will scan it into
your system for potential employers to review. I have talked to some
companies who are not presently hiring dispatchers. One did say that
they only prefer to hire graduates from Sheffield. It was good to
get reassurance of something I believed before I attended your school.
I am confident I will find a good company to work for soon. Thanks
for giving me a great education.
