Sheffield Overview
Sheffield School of Aeronautics is one of the oldest aviation training institutions in the USA. It is the oldest, most experienced FAA-approved Aircraft Dispatcher school in the world and has been in continuous existence since 1948. In fact, Sheffield School has been training Aircraft Dispatchers longer than its top five competitors combined! Since the school has been in existence for 64 years, our graduates are working for most every major domestic and foreign air carrier in the world. Many of these airlines call us directly when they need qualified dispatchers. Due to our reputation in the aviation industry, we are recommended by such companies as: Delta, KLM, American, United, TWA, Federal Express, UPS, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, United Technologies, Mobil Oil, Gulf Air, Atlantic Southeast, Comair, Mesaba, Horizon, American TransAir, and many others for Aircraft Dispatcher training. In fact, there are many companies which have told us they will hire only Sheffield graduates as dispatchers. But don't take our word for it...read what our Graduates say about the training they received while attending Sheffield School. The school was founded Wilbur A. Sheffield in 1948. Since 1971, the traditions of Mr. Sheffield have been carried on by Ron Morris and his family. Sheffield School was relocated from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale on July 1, 1986.
