"Dear Ron,
Thank you so much for your interest in my career as a dispatcher. Your success is well deserved. You prosper privately and professionally because of your genuine interest in others. Just think of the hundreds of people you have qualified for a profession that allowed them to prosper and feel good about themselves.

I retire March 31 of next year. If Eric is training in Atlanta I would like to take recurrent (refresher) training shortly after that date."

Rgds,
Dave Richards

Sheffield School of Aeronautics is one of the oldest aviation training institutions in the USA. It is the oldest, most experienced FAA-approved Aircraft Dispatcher school in the world and has been in continuous existence since 1948. In fact, Sheffield School has been training Aircraft Dispatchers longer than its top five competitors combined!

Since the school has been in existence for 61 years, our graduates are working for most every major domestic and foreign air carrier in the world. Many of these airlines call us directly when they need qualified dispatchers.

Due to our reputation in the aviation industry, we are recommended by such companies as: Delta, KLM, American, United, TWA, Federal Express, UPS, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, United Technologies, Mobil Oil, Gulf Air, Atlantic Southeast, Comair, Mesaba, Horizon, American TransAir, and many others for Aircraft Dispatcher training. In fact, there are many companies which have told us they will hire only Sheffield graduates as dispatchers. But don't take our word for it...read what our Graduates say about the training they received while attending Sheffield School.

The school was founded Wilbur A. Sheffield in 1948. Since 1971, the traditions of Mr. Sheffield have been carried on by Ron Morris and his family. Sheffield School was relocated from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale on July 1, 1986. For details and specific answers to questions, feel free to use the navigation menu to the left or at the bottom of the page.

"The Morris Family and Sheffield School have been in Aviation longer than any other school around. My classmates who are now working as dispatchers have told me that they know more and are better trained than other dispatchers from other schools. Sheffield does not in anyway just "crank-out" dispatchers; you will have to work very hard. If you want to be a Dispatcher, go to the best school, SHEFFIELD." T.L., Sheffield Graduate, 12/2/97
